Mobile certificate (Mobiilivarmenne)

The mobile certificate is an electronic identification document, which can be included in a mobile SIM card provided by DNA, Elisa, or Sonera. It is used for authenticating your identity:

• at login to various electronic services, and
• in electronic signatures.

The service is available for most mobile phones in Finland, irrespective of which network operator the customer or service provider is using. The only thing that the user needs is a new SIM card equipped with the certificate, and the user also has to create one passcode. The mobile certificate makes no use of printed one-time password lists.
